The Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman jumped out to an early lead on Upper Merion Area and captured a 12-5 victory on Friday at Upper Dublin High School. Six runs in the first three innings allowed the Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman to put the game away early.
An RBI single by Dylan Zlotnikoff in the second inning fueled the Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman’s offense early. Max Bleznak did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman, reaching base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He tripled in the third inning and singled in the fourth inning. The Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman increased their lead with six runs in the fourth. A double by Derr ignited the offense,, scoring Bleznak. That was followed up by Elijah Peck‘s single, bringing home Derr. Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman closer Peter Johnson put away the final six outs to record the save. The Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman added five more runs in the bottom of the third. Quinton Derr doubled, plating Bleznak to start the inning.
Upper Merion Area couldn’t get anything going as long as Jared Lambergwas on the rubber. Lamberg held Upper Merion Area hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked six and struck out three. Joe couldn’t get it done on the hill for Upper Merion Area , taking a loss. He allowed 12 runs in four innings, walked four and struck out five.
