My heartfelt thanks to the UDHS Baseball team, Family and Friends for pitching in on the Lace Up 4 Pediatric Cancer fundraiser. You all really did an admirable thing.
Your contributions will go towards a sundry of ways to improve the lives of children battling cancer locally. Go 4 the Goal Foundation uses the monies raised for financial support, developing and implementing unique hospital programs, funding innovative research, and granting personal wishes.
Our donations totaled around $945. Our webpage brought in $545, Laces $210 and our Collection Jar $200.03. This was brought about by your efforts-buying the laces, posting on social media, alerting the newspapers and playing a spectacular game. It was so nice to have a classy opponent, Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, who agreed to do this event on our home field.
I am sure that Josh Bachman and Steve Bell would like to extend their thanks for all the toys collected by their senior culminating project group. I saw the boys walk away with a very large trash bag of toys. Just imagine the look on the children’s faces when they get their new toys. I am sure the toys will bring a much needed smile.
Thanks to all for a job well done!
