The Upper Dublin Cardinals collected eight hits, but fell 10-1 to the Quakertown Panthers at Quakertown Community Senior High School on Monday. Byrnes got the win for Quakertown . He allowed one run over seven innings. Hr also struck out seven, walked three and gave up eight hits. Hicks, Nace and Comachi helped Quakertown extend their lead . They combined for six hits and five RBIs.
Jared Lamberg was the game’s losing pitcher. He allowed 10 runs in five innings, walked three and struck out three. The Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman’s lone run of the ballgame came in the first inning on an RBI single by Jarrod Matz. Quakertown never trailed after scoring two runs in the first on an RBI double by Nace. Quakertown added six more runs in the bottom of the fifth. Cirarrocchi kicked things off with a single, plating Brenson. That was followed up by Comachi’s single, scoring Nace and Ritter. As the Cardinals continue their losing streak, they are working on getting it together, and hope to earn a win on Wednesday. They will take on the Cheltenham Panthers at the Field of Dreams.
