Freshman Cards make the most of 4 hits in 5-3 victory over Cheltenham 

The Upper Dublin Cardinals and the Cheltenham Panthers both threatened with rallies, but it was the Cards that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-3 win at home.  Cheltenham got seven hits compared with just four for UD, but Cheltenham stranded 10 on base.

Chris Greve recorded the win for the Upper Dublin Cardinals Freshman. He allowed three runs over 4 1/3 innings. He struck out none, walked four and surrendered four hits.
Paik took the loss for Cheltenham . He lasted just six innings, walked five, struck out none, and allowed five runs.

Cheltenham jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first. Kaplan started the rally for Cheltenham with a single. Cheltenham added more runs when Bugy scored on a single by Kaplan.  It didn’t take long for the Cardinals to answer as they scored two runs of their own in the first. Upper Dublin scored on a two-run triple by Max Bleznak.  The Upper Dublin Cardinals never trailed after scoring two runs in the second on two errors.One run in the top of the fifth helped Cheltenham close its deficit to 4-3. An RBI single by Asta set off Cheltenham rally. Finally, Peter Johnson induced an inning-ending from Lopez.  This makes the Cardinals record 3-3, and they hope to boost this Monday April 25th, when they have an away game versus Penndale Middle School.
