Penndale Middle School couldn’t get anything going as long as Alex Palumbo was on the rubber. Penndale managed just two hits off of Palumbo, who allowed only one earned run, walked four and struck out two during his five innings of work. Walton ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed one run.
Upper Dublin started taking the lead in the first inning by an RBI double by Jarrod Matz.
The Cardinals increased their lead with three runs in the fifth. The inning looked promising, as Chris Greve singled, scoring Max Bleznak to start off. The lone run of the game for Penndale was scored in the fifth inning on an RBI single by Pescatavo.
