Jonathan Lew did his best to change the outcome, but couldn’t lead the Upper Dublin Cardinals past the Pennbrook Knights as Upper Dublin lost 3-0 at home on Wednesday. Lew had an impressive outing against Pennbrook’s lineup. He gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out four during his four innings of work.
Cotten got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He tossed seven innings of shutout ball. He struck out seven, walked one and gave up three hits. Lew took the loss for Upper Dublin. Pennbrook went up for good in the fourth, scoring one run on an RBI single by Jacobs. The Cardinals only managed to find three hits today. First baseman Quinton Derr had a wonderful unassisted double play in the top of the sixth inning.
Today’s game moves Upper Dublin to an even four wins and four losses so far. They will have an away game at Upper Merion next Monday. Hopefully, they will have a couple of days to bounce back from this tough loss.
