Baseball Coaching Clinic – Sunday 2/26

UD head baseball coach Wall is hosting a free Youth Baseball Coaching Clinic primarily for UDJAA families Sunday Feb 26th at 600-8pm in the UDHS Auditorium.

We are honored to host some awesome guest speakers at this year’s coaching clinic. What makes these guys great is that they are continuously learning and developing new ways to make their players better.  Whether you are a Tball/Quickball coach or a minor league baseball player these guys have worked with your age/ability level, know the skill progressions and want to share ways you can build your player to be the best they can be.

Coach Matt Connors    Pitching

Matt was a 4 year starter at DeSales University. He coached two years at DeSales following graduation. Matt also was an Associate Scout with the Atlanta Braves for two years after that. Since then he has been running Tri-State Elite training facility and the PA Shockers baseball teams over the past 5 years.

Coach Joe Dean  Infield play

Joe is an assistant varsity coach (infield coach) at Garnet Valley High School where he’s coached two infielders who’ve been drafted in the last 5 years. Joe has 14 years coaching experience from the middle school level to the collegiate level. He has played two years at a Penn State Brandywine and was team captain his sophomore year.

Coach Tracy Clark Hitting

Tracy is the owner and founder of Balance Hitting and the designer of the newly patented Balance Bat. Coach Clark played at Emporia State University and was an assistant coach at Indian River Community College; a top 20 national college team each year. Coach Clark has an undergraduate degree in Economics, Masters in Education, MBA, and an EdD in Technology and Cognitive Science. Coach Clark studies bio mechanics, human movement, and how to develop dynamic swing performance patterns that utilizes functional and mobility training principles. Hitting is fun once a player understands their swing pattern.

Coach Ed Wall Catching, Outfield play

This season will mark my 17th season coaching baseball.  After a 4 year playing career at Lock Haven University, I coached American Legion Baseball for Clayton Post 71 and was head baseball coach at North Johnston Middle School in North Carolina for 5 years.  Moving closer to family and eventually settling in Souderton, gave me the opportunity to coach Upper Dublin Varsity Baseball for the past 12 years, 10 of them as head coach.  In that time I’ve also coached my two sons, Conlan and Shanley from birth through 12u travel.  My wife, Amy, and I coach baseball for children 2-6 years of age as part of our Stretch-n-Grow & All Star Sports youth fitness franchise.
